The Onyx 4 utilizes a direct-drive, fan-cooled 1/32 HP motor providing a variable speed, forward/reverse function to change the direction of media flow and thus not allowing the stainless steel pins to clump in one area of the bowl.
The Onyx Mag 4 comes complete with a heavy-duty plastic bowl/cover. It can accommodate an 8-12 ring capacity and comes supplied with ample amount (250 grams) of 0.5mm stainless steel pins, as well as a supply of burnishing compound to keep your pins and parts running as clean as possible. One-Year Warranty. Made in China.
Put the power of magnetic finishers to work for you! Magnetic finishing remains today’s state-of-the-art method to finish precious, non-ferrous metals with a high degree of intricacy with medias (stainless steel pins) as small as 0.30mm in diameter and 0.25mm in length.
Magnets embedded in a cast disc constantly change polarity, creating a centrifugal action in the media allowing your finisher to access recesses, channels, undercuts, and other confined areas where other conventional methods/medias simply cannot. Soft, non-ferrous metals can be burnished in as little as half an hour, ensuring quicker turnaround time and improved productivity. If your pieces have large, smooth or flat surfaces, the finish will appear frosted or have an interesting, satin-finish look.
A slight buffing or a run in a dry finisher (such as our 852-0746) will easily bring the finish to a high shine. FYI a replacement bowl and cover is also available - our 8520545.
Features:
- Direct-drive, fan-cooled machine for ultra-quiet operation.
- Auto shutoff function.
- Clear bowl with fill-line indicators offer easy load preparation of pins and compound.
- Space-saving finisher is fully programmable. Additional features include an electronic timer with a digital readout
- Compact heavy-duty construction for long life usage.
All Raytech Magnetic Finishers are built and engineered to the highest quality standards.
Important! Under no circumstances should the pins be stored in the bowl on the machine. Doing so will cause the pins to magnetize, resulting in over-magnetizing of pins, thus lessening their effectiveness.
Note: Other sizes, and 230V models are also available; as are replacement bowls.
